BNC Attenuators
BNC attenuators are devices used to attenuate, or reduce, the amplitude of an RF signal. They are often used in electronic test and measurement applications to reduce the amplitude of a signal before it is measured by a device such as an oscilloscope.
BNC attenuators are also used to protect sensitive equipment from damage caused by high-amplitude signals. Attenuators are available in a variety of attenuation values, from 1dB to 30dB.
BNC attenuators typically have a male BNC connector on one end and a female BNC connector on the other end.
Some attenuators also have an adjustable attenuation knob that allows the user to adjust the attenuation (dB) value and are passive devices and do not require a power source.
