Flexible Low Loss Communications Coax LMR-195

Ideal for...

  • Jumper Assemblies in Wireless Communications Systems
  • Short Antenna Feeder runs
  • Any application (e.g. WLL, GPS, LMR, WLAN, WISP, WiMax, SCADA, Mobile Antennas) requiring an easily routed, low loss RF cable
  • Drop-in replacement for RG-58 and RG-142
  • Low Loss is another hallmark feature of LMR-195. Size for size LMR has the lowest loss of any flexible cable and comparable loss to semirigid hard-line cables.
  • RF Shielding is 50 dB greater than typical single shielded coax (40 dB). The multi-ply bonded foil outer conductor is rated conservatively at > 90 dB (i.e. >180 dB between two adjacent cables).
  • Weatherability: LMR-195 cables designed for outdoor exposure incorporate the best materials for UV resistance and have life expectancy in excess of 20 years.
  • Connectors: A wide variety of connectors are available for LMR-195 cable, including all common interface types, reverse polarity, and a choice of solder or nonsolder center pins. Most LMR connectors employ crimp outer attachment using standard hex crimp sizes.
  • Cable Assemblies: All LMR-195 cable types

The LMR-195 cable assemblies can support a maximum frequency of up to 5.8 GHz (5,800 MHz).

The LMR-195 cable assemblies maximum power caries based on the frequency. LMR-195 can handle a maximum power of up to 890 watts at 30MHz. At 5,800Mhz LMR-195 can only handle 60watts. This maximum power rating is for the entire cable assembly, including the connectors and the cable itself.

The minimum bend radius for the LMR-195 cable assemblies is 1/2inch.

The maximum length that the LMR-195 cable assemblies should be is 50 feet.

The outside diameter of the LMR-195 cable assemblies is 0.195 inches.

The dielectric material used in the LMR-195 cable assemblies is a high-quality Polyethylene Foam that is specifically designed for use in RF and microwave applications. This dielectric has a very low dielectric constant, which means that it has a very low loss tangent. This material is also very durable and it will not degrade over time or under extreme conditions.

The LMR-195 cable assemblies use a shielding material that is a combination of aluminum and tinned copper braid. This combination provides an excellent shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The aluminum shielding helps to reflect and dissipate the EMI, while the tinned copper braid provides a barrier against the EMI.

The LMR-195 cable assemblies use various types of coaixal connectors inclding: Type N connector. This is a threaded, weatherproof connector that is commonly used in RF applications. It has a good impedance match and is relatively easy to connect and disconnect.

The LMR-195 cable assemblies have a voltage rating of 50 volts. This means that the maximum voltage that can be applied to the cable without causing damage is 50 volts. The voltage rating is a measure of the amount of electrical energy that can flow through the cable without causing damage.

The LMR-195 cable assemblies have a current rating of 5A.
